PEUGEOT Citroen has teamed up with Changan Automotive in a deal to build cars in China. The 50:50 joint venture will produce 200,000 vehicles Women'spumps from the second half of 2012 and involves an initial investment of pounds 815m.

Changan, China's fourth largest carmaker, already has joint ventures with Ford, Volvo, Mazda and Suzuki and the new deal will give the French company a bigger share of the fast-growing Chinese market.
