About

Having success and a loyal fanbase is one thing. Winning over your own musical idols unexpectedly with your own songs is something quite different. For Antje Schomaker, both happened with impressive ease. As a child, she first took lessons in piano and bassoon, then taught herself to play the acoustic guitar and, after years of songwriting, immediately caught Bosse’s attention with her first upload. What sounds a bit like a film script marked the starting point for one of the most interesting careers of a German pop musician in years. And things have continued at the same pace ever since. Schomaker has played her way across Germany, from the Feel Festival to Hurricane and Deichbrandt, from supporting Bosse to performing with Johannes Oerding and Amy MacDonald. Her debut album “Von Helden und Halunken” (2018) put her on the arts pages’ radar – singles such as “Auf Augenhöhe” (2020) and “Ich muss gar nichts” (2021) then racked up millions of streams. With her velvety voice, weightless melodies and unpretentious but moving lyrics, the singer-songwriter has brought some rare moments of brilliance to Germany’s indie-pop scene – and she’s finally returning to Hamburg this year, with new singles such as “Love Of My Life” (2026).
