About
Lead-singer, David Méndez Yépez is of Peruvian origin, and this group from Brussels finds its roots in Latin-American music, whilst also creating its own musical universe. Chicos y Mendez’ musical repertoire taps into urban, pop, rock, and reggae, featuring lyrics in Spanish and French that translate a desire to meet the poetry of others. Since its release in 2019, debut album Esencias has been listened to in 73 countries and the band has played over 200 concerts throughout Europe, Peru and Ecuador.
