  • Charli XCX
    Charli XCX

Over the course of her trailblazing career, Charli xcx has earned critical acclaim for her forward-thinking musical output and refreshing entrepreneurial spirit that has seen her carve her own lane on the global pop circuit. A singer, songwriter, video director, documentary maker, radio host and record label boss, Charli’s story is one of an artist continuing to succeed without compromise.

Beginning to release music in 2008, Charli has continuously strived to take the road less travelled throughout her career, with her debut album True Romance setting a benchmark for avant-garde pop music. This created a trajectory that has seen her write some of the world’s biggest hits (Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’, Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’, Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes’ ’Senorita'), while embracing pop’s most uninhibited sounds within her own work - gaining her a following that began in a cult capacity before spreading worldwide - assembling her own world via her fandom, affectionately called the Angels.

A one-woman force within the industry, Charli’s relentless work rate extends to writing for other artists while releasing her own music, running her own Vroom Vroom Recordings label, directing music videos and managing Nasty Cherry - a group she formed that has been documented on the Netflix series I’m With The Band.

Armed with an attitude to dropping music that flipped the industry hegemony of release structure on its head, Charli’s groundbreaking 2017 mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2, as well as the standout summer crush anthem “Boys”, established her reputation as a singular talent with a defiant attitude to creation. Those releases were instrumental in establishing Charli’s keen ear for underground artists, spotlighting the likes of CupcakKe, ABRA, Tommy Cash and Pablo Vittar - helping to change the landscape of pop worldwide and take the genre to new heights.

2018 proved to be another stellar year. Following a series of tracks drops – ‘5 In The Morning’, ‘No Angel’, ‘Focus’ and ‘Girls Night Out’, – heralded mixtape shows, which she brought to the UK and Europe and a global support tour with Taylor Swift, Charli xcx returned with a throwback UK Top 15 smash, “1999” feat. Troye Sivan. The accompanying video, which sits at over 35m views, was co-produced by Charli and paid homage to standout cultural references from the year of 1999.

2019 saw Charli’s biggest 12 months to date; her third album proper, Charli, marked a huge advancement in her sound as well as some of her most personal lyrical content yet, featuring collaborations with global superstars such as Lizzo, Troye Sivan and HAIM alongside future game changers such as Kim Petras, Christine and the Queens, Yaeji and Clairo. The album’s coinciding sold-out tour proved to be her most expansive yet - including a 27-date North American run and her biggest headline show so far at London’s Brixton Academy.

Now in 2020, Charli is already breaking boundaries - this year has seen her first BRIT nomination for British Female Solo Artist, marking a huge moment of validation from a mainstream audience that Charli has built on her own terms.

In reaction to the global COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, Charli has proven herself to be one of

the most adaptable artists working today; initially providing programs of Instagram live sessions that invited

various guests to spark conversation, share insight, or simply entertain fans across the world who are currently

practicing social distancing. Charli’s vision then expanded further, leading her to announce ‘how i’m feeling

now’ - a new album to be written, recorded and released in 39 days, completely in self-isolation. The creative

process was also to push her collaborative stream in a unique way; opening up the recording, writing, artwork,

music videos and more to fans for feedback and contribution - she also further inspired her fans’ creativity,

allowing them access to song stems to create remixes and greenscreen footage to be edited using their own

imagination. The resulting project, released on deadline on May 15th 2020, is already being held in huge

critical acclaim as an emotionally raw, relentlessly progressive sonic world, built from inside the comfort of

Charli’s own home. ‘how i’m feeling now’ has given further spotlight to Charli’s status as one of the most

adaptable, exciting pop artists working today, and through it’s uniquely collaborative approach, provided a

shared space for those who listen to feel safe enough to express themselves however they wish at a time

    when they need it most.

Charli has accrued two Billboard Music Awards, a YouTube Music Award, two Sesac ‘Songwriter of the Year’ Awards, plus nominations at the Grammys, BRIT Awards and MTV EMAs. Not to mention the studio time she’s commanded with the likes of Blondie, Selena Gomez [Charli co-wrote her U.S. No.1“Same Old Love”], Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes, Benny Blanco, David Guetta, Zara Larsson, Khalid and Diplo.

Alongside her music projects, Charli has been a strong fixture within fashion. Charli attended the Met Gala 2019 as a special guest of Anna Wintour and Vogue, followed by a performance at Cannes Film Festival for the amfAR Gala. An ally for the LGBTQI+ community, Charli collaborates with some of the world’s most exciting LGBTQI+ artists, using her platform to help amplify the voices, and in turn the experiences, of these artists - a trait that led in part to Charli being named as Gay Times’ Ally Of The Year for 2019.

An iconic figure for postmodern pop and creativity without limits, Charli xcx is one of the world’s most unique talents. Helping to expand the landscape of popular music over the last decade by seamlessly traversing the underground and the mainstream, Charli’s tireless approach has opened up new possibilities within the pop sphere for both her and others to build on in the future, and with a host of new music on the horizon, the future is coming sooner than anyone could imagine.

  • Amyl & The Sniffers
    Amyl & The Sniffers
Since forming in Melbourne’s sticky pub-rock scene in 2016, Amyl and the Sniffers have become masters of balancing power and playfulness. With two critically acclaimed albums under their belt - 2019’s self-titled debut and 2021’s visceral ‘Comfort To Me’ - vocalist Amy Taylor, guitarist Declan Mehrtens, bassist Gus Romer and drummer Bryce Wilson have achieved something unique and remarkable. Since the release of Comfort to Me, the band has seen their horizons broaden exponentially in every way. And it’s this attitude - bigger, brighter, smarter, sharper - that’s fuelling their third album, ‘Cartoon Darkness’. Recorded with producer Nick Launay at Foo Fighters’ 606 Studios in Los Angeles, on the same desk that captured Nirvana’s Nevermind and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours, the latest Amyl offering is full of surprises. Musically, Mehrtens, Romer and Wilson have written The Sniffers’ most diverse album yet. It stretches from classic punk to the glammy strut of recent single ‘U Should Not Be Doing That’ to the stormy balladry of ‘Big Dreams’ and beyond. "Cartoon Darkness is driving head first into the unknown, into this looming sketch of the future that feels terrible, but doesn’t even exist yet. A childlike darkness," says Amy Taylor. "I don’t want to meet the devil half-way and mourn what we have right now. The future is cartoon, the prescription is dark, but it's novelty. It's just a joke. It's fun."

    Hunx & His Punx

Hunx and His Punx are a California band featuring Seth Bogart, Shannon Shaw and Erin Emslie. Since they got back together in 2019 it seemed like teenage dreams were coming true. First they played John Waters’ birthday party, then they toured with Bikini Kill, got to open for The B-52s at their favorite festival and started recording their first album since 2013. They never would have guessed that it would end up taking 5 years to complete. Or that they would soon be going through some very brutal times - a tragic death, a global pandemic and being impacted of one by one of California’s worst wildfires in history.

On August 22, 2025, Hunx and His Punx will officially release their first album in 12 years, Walk Out On This World. It’s their first with Get Better Records, a label the band is excited to be working with due to their focus on queer and trans artists. Between 2010 and 2013, Hunx and His Punx released 3 albums - Gay Singles, Too Young To Be in Love and Street Punk, on Hardly Art and True Panther Sounds. They were celebrated and often associated with the queer core, punk and “garage rock” music worlds. From 2014-2019 they took a 5 year hiatus. Seth got really busy with visual art and recorded some solo albums. Shannon was equally as busy with her band Shannon & The Clams and releasing her first solo record. Now they have finally returned with their fourth album, Walk Out On This World.

  • Lorde
    Lorde

Few artists can capture the essence of an entire generation like Lorde. Since her breakthrough at just sixteen with the minimalist anthem Royals, the New Zealand singer-songwriter has redefined the sound of modern pop—intimate yet grand, poetic yet grounded in raw emotion. With her distinctive voice and profound lyrics, Lorde has built her own world where introspection and power go hand in hand. From the moody sophistication of Pure Heroine to the pulsating energy and self-discovery of Melodrama to the sun-drenched introspection of Solar Power, Ella Yelich-O'Connor's music is constantly evolving – each album represents a new chapter not only in her artistic career, but also in the emotional lives of her listeners. She writes like a novelist, creating vivid scenes and penetrating truths about youth, fame, loneliness, and joy. Now her career, including live performances, has entered a new phase defined by her latest album, Virgin. Her live performances are literally transformative. Whether she commands the stage in complete silence or leads a euphoric sing-along, Lorde creates an atmosphere that resonates emotionally. At Colours of Ostrava, Lorde will bring her unmistakable energy, a voice that moves between fragility and fire, and a repertoire of songs that have shaped a decade of pop culture. Expect moments of pure joy with the anthems What Was That and Green Light, as well as electrifying emotions with the ballads Liabitlity and Man Of The Year.

Others spend a year abroad after graduating from school or go on a journey of self-discovery – or both. Elle Coves, on the other hand, launched her own music career and released singles such as ‘Before I Fall Apart’ (2023) and ‘Summer’ (2023), which are racking up hundreds of thousands of streams on relevant platforms and causing a stir in the music press. Inspired by greats such as Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, and Maggie Rogers, the singer–songwriter – who was born in Germany and grew up in Ireland – also wants to make it big. This has been noticed not only by her parents and fans, but also by other talents in the UK, such as Lewis Capaldi and Dublin’s pop quartet Wild Youth, with whom Coves is going on tour. Her debut EP, ‘Selfishly Inclined’ (2024), showcases an artist who – with her brilliantly produced sound design – knows exactly what she wants, where she wants to go, and how to get there. There is no doubt about it, even in light of her latest single ‘Peace’ (2025): Elle Coves is giving pop music a much-needed update.

  • The War On Drugs
    The War On Drugs

The history of rock ’n’ roll is a story of splintering. Stop here for 10 seconds, and think: How many niches can you name without even trying, without having to pause for just a split second? They seem infinite and, already the better part of a century since rock’s bastard birth, still ceaseless, each new form defined by the mainframe’s perpetuity of flux.

But over the last 15 years, The War on Drugs have steadily emerged as one of the mightiest counterweights to this endless division, reconnecting rock’s manifold hyphenates with an ardor and ease that suggest they were never split far apart in the first place. Folk, indie, kosmiche, noise, roots, arena, psychedelic, soft, whatever—The War on Drugs are this century’s great rock ’n’ roll synthesists, obviating the gaps between the underground and the mainstream, between the abstruse and the anthemic, making records that wrestle a fractured past into a unified and engrossing present. The War on Drugs have never done that so well as they do with I Don’t Live Here Anymore, their fifth studio album and their most compulsive and bold set of songs to date.

  • Cure For Paranoia
    Cure For Paranoia

The soul-infused hip-hop outfit has become the new face of the storied Dallas neighborhood. Now the band is taking Deep Ellum worldwide. The musicians that make up Dallas hip-hop group Cure for Paranoia have their own bold energy and personal styles which would best be described as aggressively funky, a style that carries through to their music. Between Tomahawk Jonez’s and JayAnalog’s production, and Cameron McCloud’s brisk lyrical delivery, the band has designed its own brand of “trippy soul-infused hip-hop.”
The group formed when the guys took a “doomsday road trip.” Following the advice of some conspiracy theorist friends, they packed up and headed to an ideal place to wait out the apocalypse. When an earth-shattering meteor didn’t hit, inspiration did. Having recently been diagnosed with bipolar paranoid schizophrenia, McCloud found clarity in making music with his friends. By the time they returned home, the band was born. Cure for Paranoia was awarded Dallas Observer’s Best New Act in 2016 and Best Group Act in 2017.

Thanks to their anthems, which explore personal struggles, resilience, and hope, they have built a deeply devoted community of fans who perceive their music not only as entertainment but as a lifeline. Their breakthrough came with the Grammy-winning single Stressed Out and the multi-platinum album Blurryface, which introduced the world to their signature blend of energetic performances and honest storytelling. The follow-up albums Trench, Scaled and Icy, Clancy, and Breach further expanded their creative vision and showed a band that is not afraid of evolution but remains true to its core message of connection and authenticity. Colours of Ostrava may be the last chance to see the band live for a long time. Don't miss this opportunity!
