Jazz-kids is a jazz band from Mosfellsbær made up of children aged 11–16. Despite their young age, they have been playing together for three years and have performed at numerous concerts and festivals—such as the Reykjavík Arts Festival, the Reykjavík Jazz Festival, Í túninu heima, Kids in Jazz (in Oslo), and Barnadjass í Mosó, with the group actually hosting the latter event. On Culture Night, they will perform a variety of jazz standards.

The band Jazz-kids consists of Edda Margrét Jonasdóttir (12, clarinet and alto saxophone), Emil Huldar Jonasson (15, piano), Helga Margrét Einarsdóttir (11, drums), Rakel Elaisa Allansdóttir (13, trumpet), Sigríður Sóllilja Einarsdóttir (16, double bass), and Svandís Erla Magnúsdóttir (15, alto saxophone). The group was formed in 2023, and they have served as hosts of the Barnadjass í Mosó music festival since its inception. They study instruments at the music department of the Mosfellsbær School of the Arts and play in the Mosfellsbær School Band. They have had the honor of collaborating on and premiering new works by Karl Olgeirsson (2024) and Sunna Gunnlaugsdóttir (2025), commissioned specifically for those years by the Barnadjass festival. The pieces have been performed at Barnadjass í Mosó, Kids in Jazz in Oslo, and the Reykjavík Jazz Festival. For Culture Night, they enlisted the help of musician Anna Gréta Sigurðardóttur in their preparations.
