Sjónarafl Course 🔍
On site course at the House of Collections
Sjónarafl (The Power of Seeing) aims to systematically build visual literacy teaching and art history into the education system and strengthen students’ knowledge of the nation’s cultural heritage. Visual literacy training also supports expressive skills, active listening, conceptual understanding and critical thinking.
This course introduces and trains teachers in the methods of visual literacy, using discussions and question-based approaches. Selected works from the National Gallery of Iceland’s collection will be used for the purpose with educational materials specifically tailored to teachers’ needs.
The course fee is 6.500 ISK which includes the textbook Sjónarafl. Payment on site.
