After Jason "Jay" Kay (born Jason Cheetham) auditioned unsuccessfully to be the singer of the The Brand New Heavies, he decided to put together his own band. Jamiroquai's first single, When You Gonna Learn?, was released in 1992 on the Acid Jazz label. Following its success, Kay signed a £1,000,000 eight-album record deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The band enjoys worldwide popularity and is the best-known member of the early-1990s London-based acid jazz movement, alongside groups such as Incognito, The Brand New Heavies, Galliano and Corduroy. Jamiroquai has since, however, moved in other musical directions.

The band´s lead, Jay Kay, is a hat and car lover. During shows he always wears a hat, and he has lots of very expensive sports cars, like a Ferrari.

The name "Jamiroquai" is derived from the Native American Iroquois tribe, with which Kay has said he identifies philosophically, combined with 'Jam', as in musical jamming.

Sam Smith (Backing Vocals) recently left the band and moved to Paris to get involved in some other projects.

The band has been compared with the likes of Primal Scream, with their similar electronica-indie rock fusion and Oasis, with whom they share their confidence, vision, swagger and rough vocal style. Some influence can be seen from their days supporting Vitriol I.D.

It has been speculated that the name "Kasabian" is taken from the getaway driver (named Linda Kasabian) for the Tate murders committed by the Manson Family.

The band formed in 1999 in Leicester, England Their first album was simply "Kasabian", and in 2004 received lacklustre reviews. However, tracks such as Cutt Off and L.S.F (Lost Souls Forever) reached the UK top 10, and with 2 more top 20 hits and the album peaking at #4 in the UK Album Charts, they defied the critics.

Their new album, "Empire", was released on the 28th of August 2006. The first single from the album, also titled "Empire", was widely regarded as a musical success, with its change of beat reminiscent of "Take Me Out", and its catchy chorus. This was then followed by the release of the single, "Shoot The Runner" and most recently, "Me Plus One".

Formed in 2002 by Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding, Pendulum quickly took to the road, touring across their native home in Perth to internationally acclaimed clubs and festivals around the release of their seminal debut album ‘Hold Your Colour’. After relocating to the UK and forming the Pendulum live band, El Hornet took the reins on the Pendulum DJ Sets and has spent the past 15 years performing at some of the biggest electronic festivals in the world including Liquicity, Let It Roll, Rampage, Dreambeach and EDC.

Now alternating between the individual band members, and sometimes performing as a trio, the Pendulum DJ sets have taken on a life of their own with a huge global presence and genre spanning shows ranging from drum and bass, house, techno, tech house breaks and hardcore.

Singer-Songwriter ena mori is a walking musical paradox.
Starting her musical journey at a young age as a classical pianist, ena mori uses her dynamic range of different musical influences and creates her own sophisticated pop sound.
Her tunes hop with neon-light vibrance, but also bop with lovelorn soul, owing to her Japanese-Filipino pedigree. But whatever hyphenated tag critics and admirers alike choose to append to her material—art-pop, synth-pop, dream-pop—the ena mori crusade is, essentially, one in vigorous defense of pop music making (full stop): a criminally undermined enterprise she’s working not so much to salvage but ravage (full stop), which is to say, in her own words, “I’ve always wanted to write pop that pushes boundaries.”

Her first album, "DON'T BLAME THE WILD ONE!" which includes singles such as "VIVID", and "SOS" was rated No.1 for NME Asia's Best Albums of the Year 2022.
