DaveU.K. rapper Dave is a spellbinding storyteller, using his lyrics to reflect on both social issues and deeply personal subject matter alike. Acknowledgment early in his career from Drake gave Dave immediate exposure for his 2016 debut EP, Six Paths, and both his profile and artistry grew with subsequent releases, like his 2019 debut studio album Psychodrama and its 2021 follow-up, We're All Alone in This Together, both of which topped the charts in the U.K. He reached number one with subsequent singles "Starlight" (2022) and "Sprinter" (from 2023's Split Decision, with Central Cee). Following these successes, he guested on songs by Burna Boy and Lyrical Lemonade.
Dave (aka Santan Dave) was born David Omoregie in the Brixton area of South London in 1998, later moving to Streatham. Growing up, he was inspired to pursue art in some form. Taking cues from his older brothers, he initially tried his hand at animation before moving on to piano; he finally settled on becoming a fully fledged MC. Unfortunately, his brothers ended up serving lengthy prison sentences. To cope with the drastic alteration in their lives, Dave burrowed even deeper into his music and developed a socially aware form of wordplay that set him apart from his peers.

Gurriers
As the end of the first quarter of the 21st century inches ever closer, our planet precariously teeters from one crisis to the next. Rather than passively sit back and watch, the high-energy Irish guitar quintet Gurriers are firing on all cylinders and confronting the ills of the modern world on their debut album, Come and See, a truly thrilling collection of razor-sharp progressive punk songs.
Come and See explores many themes, be they the end of the world, the disenfranchised youth of Dublin, emigrant friends, the rise of the far right, desensitisation to violence, a pope struggling with belief and love amongst other things.
Gurriers' first album is no ordinary debut, but an exhilarating statement of intent by five people fed up with tiptoeing politely around the chaos. Come and see for yourself.
“It’s impossible to overstate how impressive this album is. It’s not impressive for a debut; it’s not impressive for a punk album; it’s just impressive. It’s unambiguous, it’s unapologetic, it’s quite frankly unbelievable.” 5/5 Dork Magazine
“At Simple Things in Bristol Gurriers riotous art-punk threatens to collapse the venue’s bouncy floor“

Charli XCX
Over the course of her trailblazing career, Charli xcx has earned critical acclaim for her forward-thinking musical output and refreshing entrepreneurial spirit that has seen her carve her own lane on the global pop circuit. A singer, songwriter, video director, documentary maker, radio host and record label boss, Charli’s story is one of an artist continuing to succeed without compromise.
Beginning to release music in 2008, Charli has continuously strived to take the road less travelled throughout her career, with her debut album True Romance setting a benchmark for avant-garde pop music. This created a trajectory that has seen her write some of the world’s biggest hits (Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’, Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’, Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes’ ’Senorita'), while embracing pop’s most uninhibited sounds within her own work - gaining her a following that began in a cult capacity before spreading worldwide - assembling her own world via her fandom, affectionately called the Angels.
A one-woman force within the industry, Charli’s relentless work rate extends to writing for other artists while releasing her own music, running her own Vroom Vroom Recordings label, directing music videos and managing Nasty Cherry - a group she formed that has been documented on the Netflix series I’m With The Band.
Armed with an attitude to dropping music that flipped the industry hegemony of release structure on its head, Charli’s groundbreaking 2017 mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2, as well as the standout summer crush anthem “Boys”, established her reputation as a singular talent with a defiant attitude to creation. Those releases were instrumental in establishing Charli’s keen ear for underground artists, spotlighting the likes of CupcakKe, ABRA, Tommy Cash and Pablo Vittar - helping to change the landscape of pop worldwide and take the genre to new heights.
2018 proved to be another stellar year. Following a series of tracks drops – ‘5 In The Morning’, ‘No Angel’, ‘Focus’ and ‘Girls Night Out’, – heralded mixtape shows, which she brought to the UK and Europe and a global support tour with Taylor Swift, Charli xcx returned with a throwback UK Top 15 smash, “1999” feat. Troye Sivan. The accompanying video, which sits at over 35m views, was co-produced by Charli and paid homage to standout cultural references from the year of 1999.
2019 saw Charli’s biggest 12 months to date; her third album proper, Charli, marked a huge advancement in her sound as well as some of her most personal lyrical content yet, featuring collaborations with global superstars such as Lizzo, Troye Sivan and HAIM alongside future game changers such as Kim Petras, Christine and the Queens, Yaeji and Clairo. The album’s coinciding sold-out tour proved to be her most expansive yet - including a 27-date North American run and her biggest headline show so far at London’s Brixton Academy.
Now in 2020, Charli is already breaking boundaries - this year has seen her first BRIT nomination for British Female Solo Artist, marking a huge moment of validation from a mainstream audience that Charli has built on her own terms.
In reaction to the global COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, Charli has proven herself to be one of
the most adaptable artists working today; initially providing programs of Instagram live sessions that invited
various guests to spark conversation, share insight, or simply entertain fans across the world who are currently
practicing social distancing. Charli’s vision then expanded further, leading her to announce ‘how i’m feeling
now’ - a new album to be written, recorded and released in 39 days, completely in self-isolation. The creative
process was also to push her collaborative stream in a unique way; opening up the recording, writing, artwork,
music videos and more to fans for feedback and contribution - she also further inspired her fans’ creativity,
allowing them access to song stems to create remixes and greenscreen footage to be edited using their own
imagination. The resulting project, released on deadline on May 15th 2020, is already being held in huge
critical acclaim as an emotionally raw, relentlessly progressive sonic world, built from inside the comfort of
Charli’s own home. ‘how i’m feeling now’ has given further spotlight to Charli’s status as one of the most
adaptable, exciting pop artists working today, and through it’s uniquely collaborative approach, provided a
shared space for those who listen to feel safe enough to express themselves however they wish at a time
when they need it most.
Charli has accrued two Billboard Music Awards, a YouTube Music Award, two Sesac ‘Songwriter of the Year’ Awards, plus nominations at the Grammys, BRIT Awards and MTV EMAs. Not to mention the studio time she’s commanded with the likes of Blondie, Selena Gomez [Charli co-wrote her U.S. No.1“Same Old Love”], Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes, Benny Blanco, David Guetta, Zara Larsson, Khalid and Diplo.
Alongside her music projects, Charli has been a strong fixture within fashion. Charli attended the Met Gala 2019 as a special guest of Anna Wintour and Vogue, followed by a performance at Cannes Film Festival for the amfAR Gala. An ally for the LGBTQI+ community, Charli collaborates with some of the world’s most exciting LGBTQI+ artists, using her platform to help amplify the voices, and in turn the experiences, of these artists - a trait that led in part to Charli being named as Gay Times’ Ally Of The Year for 2019.
An iconic figure for postmodern pop and creativity without limits, Charli xcx is one of the world’s most unique talents. Helping to expand the landscape of popular music over the last decade by seamlessly traversing the underground and the mainstream, Charli’s tireless approach has opened up new possibilities within the pop sphere for both her and others to build on in the future, and with a host of new music on the horizon, the future is coming sooner than anyone could imagine.

Kasabian
* Ian Matthews - Drums & Percussion
* Christopher Edwards - Bass
* Jason Mehler - Guitar (only at live shows)
The band has been compared with the likes of Primal Scream, with their similar electronica-indie rock fusion and Oasis, with whom they share their confidence, vision, swagger and rough vocal style. Some influence can be seen from their days supporting Vitriol I.D.
It has been speculated that the name "Kasabian" is taken from the getaway driver (named Linda Kasabian) for the Tate murders committed by the Manson Family.
The band formed in 1999 in Leicester, England Their first album was simply "Kasabian", and in 2004 received lacklustre reviews. However, tracks such as Cutt Off and L.S.F (Lost Souls Forever) reached the UK top 10, and with 2 more top 20 hits and the album peaking at #4 in the UK Album Charts, they defied the critics.
Their new album, "Empire", was released on the 28th of August 2006. The first single from the album, also titled "Empire", was widely regarded as a musical success, with its change of beat reminiscent of "Take Me Out", and its catchy chorus. This was then followed by the release of the single, "Shoot The Runner" and most recently, "Me Plus One".

Sam DivineSam Divine is a DJ that knows exactly what to play and when to play it. The hours she spent rifling through vinyl in the warehouse of Chemical Records, where Sam once worked as a house buyer, gives her an insurmountable understanding of the genre. Having played nearly every club in Ibiza – including residencies at Ushuaia, Amnesia and Sankeys – and landed at top-end festivals, there are few who can offer a house music education like Sam Divine. Last year, she racked up over a hundred gigs and is well on track to exceed that in 2017, having already hit up the likes of Europe, North America and Asia. And her reputation for energising a dancefloor has been acknowledged by her inclusion in Pete Tong’s Selector Series for Radio 1. A late starter, Sam took up DJing at 21 – learning to mix in her mum’s garden shed. Her breakthrough came soon after with a DJ competition and landed her first residency at a club in Weston-super-Mare, where she was also the main booker, while also working in record stores. In 2005, after swapping Bristol for Ibiza, Sam became a vital component of San Antonio’s west end (where this year she makes a triumphant return as a resident for Defected at Eden) and has spent every season on the White Isle ever since. During this time, Divine also began working with Defected, who in 2009 signed her to their artist roster. A weekly warm-up at Mambo ensued, opening for legendary names like Kenny Dope and Frankie Knuckles, as well as hosting the weekly Defected Radio show that currently holds the #2 spot on iTunes in the UK Music Podcasts chart. The real turning point, however, came when she played We Are FSTVL in 2013. “I dropped a mix the night before and everyone went mad for it; the tent went from nothing to one-in-one-out within half an hour,” she explains. “After that, the bookings just went nuts.” With her tireless work ethic, this summer, Sam will play Tomorrowland, Eastern Electrics, Defected Croatia, SW4, and Creamfields. This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of La Vita, the annual DJ charity night that she helped to launch and has so far raised £35,000 for Breast Cancer Research. Sam also launched her own label D-Vine Sounds back in 2015, which this year she will showcase with a stage at We Are FSTVL, dates in Ibiza and a boat party at Defected Croatia. Recently, Sam has also begun to flirt with production; her first major release, a remix of garage anthem ‘Flowers’ with production partner Curtis Gabriel, hit #1 on both Traxsource and Beatport. Last year’s ‘Confessions’ was her first release on Defected, while her ‘Sam Divine In The House’ compilation featured further productions and went #1 on iTunes’ Dance chart. This summer she dropped ‘In Da Nation’ EP with Cassimm on DFTD. Sam Divine’s work ethic has seen her more than earn her stripes on the scene. A dedicated army of fans now spreads across the globe as her uplifting house sets captivate audiences everywhere she takes to the booth. With an unwavering love of music and tireless dedication to her craft, Sam is living proof you can achieve pretty much anything you set your mind to – and no one can hold her back. twitter.com/djsamdivine soundcloud.com/djsamdivine instagram/djsamdivine defected.com

FlorentenesFlorentenes are quickly becoming a vibrant force in Manchester’s music scene. Fronted by lead vocalist and songwriter Will Smith, the band features Luke Holding on lead guitar, Harry Stubbs on bass, and Liam Fiddy on drums. What began as bedroom jams between Will and Luke has blossomed into a powerhouse band with a distinctive sound.
In just a year, Florentenes have sold out many shows locally, are rapidly growing a loyal fanbase and are currently in the studio making their debut album with legendary producer Dave Eringa (Jamie Webster, Manic Street Preachers, The Who)
Florentenes aren’t just performing—they’re creating a movement. Their electrifying live shows and undeniable talent are making them the next big thing to watch in Manchester’s colourful music scene.‘The love children of the Arctics’ and The Strokes that sometimes like to slow down for a cocktail in the lounge…!’
'The band the UK music industry has been waiting for – insanely talented, insanely young, and cool as! No clicks, no autotune, no nonsense, just massive songs recorded live and allowed to breathe like the records of old, but sounding like the records of tomorrow!' - Dave Eringa (producer/mixer)
