Three years after her last visit, we are delighted to welcome Kim Churchill back to Lac Souterrain.
Kim Churchill lives for and through the guitar. His playing impresses with its technical mastery: complex fingerpicking, percussive playing on the neck and body, tapping with both hands, harmonica, foot percussion… all carried by a deep and soulful voice. Virtuosic and instinctive, he nevertheless remains disarmingly authentic on stage.
Discovered in 2009 in his native Australia, where he received the title of "National Youth Folk Artist of the Year," he quickly gained recognition at the Byron Bay Bluesfest and shared the stage with artists such as Xavier Rudd, Ben Harper, and Bob Dylan. Since then, he has toured the biggest international stages, from the Glastonbury Festival to the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
With seven albums under her belt, including Dawn Sounds (2023) and It's Lovely to Have You Here (2024), Kim Churchill is honing a sound that blends folk, country, and raw energy. Her music is organic, free, and intense.
