Dave GraneyOctober 2022 saw the release of the studio album IN A MISTLY by Dave Graney and Clare Moore. Released on Compact Disc.
“This is music that is neither folk, nor blues, nor country, but it's all Graney, somewhere out to the left field beyond Lee Hazlewood's raised eyebrow. It's astringent on the tongue but sweetens in the telling”. Noel Mengel – Brisbane Courier Mail
Dave Graney and drummer Clare Moore played with the Moodists from 1978 to 1986. They then played with the White Buffaloes/Coral Snakes from 1987-1997. Then the Royal Dave Graney Show and Lurid Yellow Mist. Now it’s the mistLY. Graney and Moore joined by Stuart Perera (guitar since 1998) and Stu Thomas (bass since 2004). dave graney and the mistLY.
“Rock Music does not usually accommodate the likes of Dave Graney. Few Australian performers have been as resilient, and few have presented as many ideas in song form. ….Graneys tactic is to bring a highly developed context to his audience – his “velvet fog”, his “lurid yellow mist” – in opposition to the sentimentality of “rock’s wasteland of howling dopes”
Mark Gomes… Australian Book Review
Graney and Moore have been involved in roughly 35 album releases over their career. Graney is the author of three books the third – WORKSHY- was released in October 2017. They have also composed music for films and television and Graney presents a radio show on Melbourne’s RRR every week.

Every time they go out to play and in whatever combination – IT’S WHAT THEY REALLY DO! Great songs, sly grooves, tangy guitar jams.
