Come and Play! - Outdoor Games

During the Bank Holiday Weekend, kids can play and learn outdoor games at Árbær Open Air Museum, ride a swing, or try out hula hoops and other toys 🎉

At 13:00 and onwards, guests can take part in outdoor games.

The museum has a wide selection of outdoor toys that kids can use as they please and the old-fashioned playground has toys and a sandbox.

Free admission for children, people with disabilities and holders of the Reykjavík City Card and Culture Card.

Accessibility: The museum’s footpaths are mainly gravel. Many historic houses have steps and thresholds. Service dogs are welcome.

Public Transport:

Nearest bus stop: Árbæjarsafn (1-minute walk).

Other stops: Laxakvísl and Fagribær (5–6 minutes away).

Free parking, including blue-badge parking spots opposite the entrance, is available.
