Lets make clay flower pots

Welcome to this family friendly workshop, where participants will learn simple techniques for building a flower pot from clay. You will also learn how to decorate your pot using colours and the sgraffito technique, in which the coloured surface is scratched to reveal patterns and drawings. After the workshop, the flower pots will be fired in a ceramic kiln and will be ready to collect at the library three weeks later.The workshop is held in collaboration with Seljagarður Urban Farm and will be led by Guðný Rúnarsdóttir, a visual artist and art teacher.
Please note that parents or guardians are expected to actively participate in the workshop alongside their children.
Participation is free of charge, but spaces are limited so registration is required.
