Songs on LastFM
It all started years ago, when I and my brother grew up,
listening to our parents collection of LP's.
Our favourites were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
We don't use much techniques in songs, we are melody-fanatics.
We acquired kind of an understanding of melodies and structures,
cause we grew up with them, listening to music
without expectations and pretensions, just as a child does.
Later, we dug punkbands like the Ramones and the Sex Pistols,
the Clash, classical Punkrock. We love the three chord-rule!
There's a huge repertoire, lots of ideas which we banned on tape.
While listening to them for a thousand times, we started to upgrade
and enlarge our sound. Actually three members of Daze are writing songs,
which guarantees a variety of different tastes, different musical chambres.
It's fun to grow musically. It's interesting to watch the changes!
Since ten years we go our way and we'll go it,
till everyone heard our music and the opinions inside. Our doggedness
brought us on the road in Switzerland, Germany and even the USA.
Let's rock!Daze is a Eurodance/Bubblegum dance band whose music has a bouncy/fun rhythm with interesting (and sometimes meaningless) lyrics. They are best known for their hit single, "Superhero", which was first released in the album Super Heroes. Like many other Bubblegum dance groups (Aqua, Toy-Box), Daze are from Denmark. However their music is a somewhat different from Aqua and Toy-Box and doesn't have the whacky high-pitch vocals which made Aqua and Toy-Box so famous.
After an almost 10 year-long hiatus the band reformed in 2008 for a comeback tour in Denmark, as well as an upcoming new album with old songs and new mixes.

The CartoonsCartoons are a "technobilly" pop band from Denmark best known for their 1999 Eurodance cover of the 1958 novelty song, Witch Doctor by Ross Bagdasarian as well as for their outlandish plastic costumes and wigs used in live performances as caricatures of 1950s American rock and roll stars. Many of their hits were Europop covers of old rockabilly hits.
The sextet, who use the stage names Toonie, Sponge, Shooter, Buzz, Puddy and Boop were first signed to Flex Records, moving later to EMI Denmark.
Their most notable single to date is 1999's Witch Doctor, reaching number two in the UK with its combination of the original's "ooh-ee-ooh-aah-aah" chorus (although lacking that record's double-speed playback of the chorus), driving dance beat and occasional guitar breaks, hence the term "technobilly."
They had further success in the UK with the Top 10 hit Doodah! (a version of the American folk song Camptown Races from the 1850s), the top 20 hit Aisy Waisy, which was performed on Jim Davidson's Generation Game, and had a top 20 debut album, Toonage.
Cartoons also have a "secret identity" as The Scooters, a Rockabilly band. They recorded both "Witch Doctor" and "Doodah!" as straight Rockabilly songs, before they cartoonified them.

ItalobrothersOver one billion streams on Spotify alone, multi-platinum awards in several countries, sold-out shows all over the world. There are probably not many German artists who can look back on such a success story. The ItaloBrothers can. And even after 17 years, they still don't get tired of adding more chapters to this story.
With "Stamp on the Ground", "Summer Air" or "My Life is a Party", the ItaloBrothers have achieved worldwide success, or recently have scored hits like "Till You Drop" or "Down For The Ride". But let's be honest - who would have dared to predict such a career in 2005. If what Kristian "Kris" Sandberg, Zacharias "Zachi" Adrian and singer Mathias "Matze" Metten tell us is true, then it all started as a kind of "fun project" in 2005. But what was born there in a small, smoke-filled cellar in the quiet town of Nordhorn in Lower Saxony soon became a worldwide success.
With "Stamp on the Ground", the group landed a world hit in 2009. The dance track not only brought them various platinum awards, chart successes and staggeringly high streaming and click numbers. In the years that followed, it also took them around the entire globe, into the clubs of this world and in front of countless people who danced to their driving beats.
After Zachi left the collective in 2015, they brought in fresh support in the form of producer Hanno Lohse, aka Cody Island, and seamlessly continued their past successes with "Summer Air" in 2017. With its tropical house and future bass elements, the song made it into the top 20 of the single charts in German-speaking countries in the summer of that year and was awarded multi-platinum in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, as well as gold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Fuelled by such successes, their journey has not only taken them to various regions of our globe, but also brought them into contact with a wide range of musical genres. With singles like "Down for the Ride", "Let Go (feat. Kiesza)" and "One Day", they have produced tracks in recent years that reveal the widths the three sound tinkerers have advanced to.
And all this without ever giving away their musical trademarks: the typical, hypnotising ItaloBrothers hooks, the driving basslines and beats that make it almost impossible to hold still. And it is with these very ingredients that they will continue to stir up the dance floors of Europe and the rest of the world in the coming months and years.
