LE SILEX PRESENTE : TRIGGERFINGER2025 a marqué un tournant pour Triggerfinger, groupe basé à Anvers, qui célèbre désormais un quart de siècle de carrière.“Stars” a reçu un accueil enthousiaste de la part des anciens comme des nouveaux fans, ouvrant des perspectives inédites. Le groupe a fait son retour sur la scène internationale avec une tournée de 25 dates couronnée de succès, la plupart des concerts affichant complet.Avant l’été 2026, le groupe prévoit de sortir deux nouveaux titres et se prépare à vivre sa première saison de festivals depuis longtemps. Leur prochain album studio verra le jour, le premier depuis Colossus en 2017, et donc le premier album officiel sans la présence de Monsieur Paul.Ruben et Mario se sont envolés pour Los Angeles, où Mitchell Froom leur a réservé un accueil chaleureux. Froom n’est pas un inconnu pour Triggerfinger : sur ce nouvel enregistrement, il s’implique davantage, incitant Mario et Ruben à sortir de leur zone de confort, à explorer de nouvelles manières de composer et à s’aventurer sur des terrains inexplorés sans savoir exactement ce que le résultat final allait donner.Grâce à ce nouvel album, Triggerfinger prouve qu’il est de retour, plus fort que jamais, et démontre qu’il fait partie des rares groupes de rock européens à avoir traversé modes et tendances sans jamais se perdre.Sur scène : attendez-vous à retrouver l’énergie qui fait leur réputation, mais avec une touche de nouveauté. Le musicien de haut niveau Geoffrey Burton a désormais repris la basse. Geoffrey a collaboré avec de nombreux grands artistes, parmi lesquels le meilleur d’Ostende Arno, Grace Jones, Iggy Pop, la regrettée star du fado portugais Misia et bien d’autres.

TriggerfingerThe Antwerp, Belgium based trio (Ruben Block, vocals & guitar; Paul Van Bruystegem, bass; Mario Goossens, drums) have built a solid reputation across Europe and Canada as one of the hardest-driving and sharpest dressed bands around. With their self-titled debut album (2004), What Grabs Ya (2008), All This Dancing Around (2010) and By Absence of the Sun (2014) they’ve become a mainstay on the rock scene (the last two going platinum and gold, respectively). Their impromptu cover of the Lykke Li song I Follow Rivers became a major hit across Europe in 2012, and they were invited to open for The Rolling Stones in 2013 and 2014. In 2017, the threepiece released 'Colossus', an album on which they introduced some new flavors to their vintage sound.
Since the release of ‘Colossus’ and the subsequent live tour across Europe & Canada, a number of things have shifted.
Paul decided he wasn’t up for too much touring anymore so Mario and Ruben needed to figure out the next step. Besides exploring other adventures, they strongly felt the urge to write new music together, resulting in a new Triggerfinger album which will see the light of day early 2026.
In the meantime they've come out to play some gigs to keep in touch with that other half of their bond: being on stage, playing live, connecting with people.
