Breiðholt Concert with Guðmundur Pétursson

On Saturday, September 12, Guðmundur Pétursson returns to his old neighbourhood to give a free concert at Gerðuberg.
Guðmundur is one of Iceland’s leading guitarists and has been working in music since his teenage years. Throughout his long and varied career, he has performed with countless Icelandic and international musicians and taken part in a wide range of projects, both in Iceland and around the world. Alongside his work as a guitarist, Guðmundur has been prolific in creating his own music and has received the Icelandic Music Awards on several occasions, most recently for his 2024 album Wandering Beings.
For this concert, Guðmundur will perform solo with his guitar, inviting audiences into his unique musical world. He will play his own compositions, blues songs and selected pieces from his albums, including tracks from the award-winning Wandering Beings.
Guðmundur lived in Breiðholt during his teenage years and has a strong connection to the neighbourhood. This is the second time he has performed at Gerðuberg.
The concert begins at 3:00 PM and admission is free. Everyone is warmly welcome!
