  Jon Langford and the Silver Sands Roustabouts is a one off combo assembled purely for this performance and features the talents of John Szymanski Alice Spencer Tamineh Geuramy and Yard Dog Randy - the Silver Sands was a West Indian restaurant near the docks in Newport South Wales where Joe Strummer went after hours drinking and heard “toasting” for the first time - locals would pick up the mic and rap over fresh new Jamaican vinyl cuts - the very roots of hip hop!!
