It’s Christmas Eve. Clara’s house comes alive: kids and adults gather to celebrate this magical night together. Suddenly, the door opens… it’s Drosselmeyer,the magician uncle.With a mysterious smile, he gently enchants a few guests and, with an abracadabra, brings to life some toys as if moving magic.It’s late, but the children beg their uncle for one last gift.For Clara, it’s the Nutcracker.For her brother Fritz, a beautiful rattle... Jealous, Fritz tries to snatch the toy from his sister… and breaks it.Luckily, Drosselmeyer fixes it right away.When the party ends, the children go to sleep.Clara, exhausted, falls asleep in the living room, clutching her Nutcracker in her arms.Suddenly, the twelve strokes of midnight ring out.The atmosphere is changing.The shadows stretch.The silence breaks…Something is about to happen...Credits: Natraaj Ballet
