In an energetic meeting between jazz, hip-hop and house, Clothing Club invites the audience onto a musical playground where nodding heads, bouncing beats, bent knees and smiling faces are the main ingredients in the musical feast. Clothing Club is an instrumental trio blending hip-hop, house and jazz with a twinkle in their eye and one foot firmly planted in Jutland. With playful beats and funky grooves about everything from dusty vintage trousers to fresh strawberry-covered bucket hats, they create a musical space full of joy. Their sound is anti-elitist, humorous, danceable and rooted in the Aarhus jazz scene, which they use as a springboard for blending genres from around the world. Clothing Club is for confirmation students, pensioners and bass players -- in short: for anyone who wants to open their ears, shake their ass, laugh out loud and go home with a smile. On their highly anticipated second studio album, Spring Collection, they explore the depths of the wardrobe in an attempt to better dress the listener for their mental wardrobe. The music is a tribute to the straw hat, vintage shops, armchair philosophy, Y2K Norwegian wool, wild waistcoats, berets (and no caps), favourite dresses, old-school hip-hop and 90s video games.
