Comedy 4 Cancer is a live stand-up comedy event benefiting the American Cancer Society, bringing together some of the Lehigh Valley’s funniest comics, live music, and an internationally acclaimed headliner — America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer recipient and Top 5 finalist Learnmore Jonasi.

This show is inspired by my mom, who has been dealing with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for the past seven years while somehow remaining the loudest and most positive person in every room she walks into.

Including chemo waiting rooms.

Comedy 4 Cancer is for her — and for every family that has had someone they love hear those awful words: You have cancer.

So for one night, we’re going to do what we know how to do.

Before Learnmore Jonasi takes the stage, Comedy 4 Cancer is bringing together some of the Lehigh Valley’s own.

These are the comics performing in your clubs, your breweries, your theaters and your hometown — and on December 5, they’re all on one stage.

KATE HUGHES

A longtime Lehigh Valley radio personality, actor, emcee and comedian, Kate Hughes turns relationships, anxiety, adulthood and everyday disasters into brutally honest, sharply funny stories.

If life gets awkward, Kate has probably already written a joke about it.

DOUG McHIZZLE

A lifelong fan of stand-up inspired by the legendary Richard Pryor, Doug McHizzle has spent more than 15 years onstage turning his childhood dream of making people laugh into a reality.

Today, he’s a familiar face throughout the Lehigh Valley comedy scene.

RYAN ROSSELL

Lehigh Valley comedian Ryan Rossell has been making audiences laugh for years.

If Ryan seems like he’s trying a little too hard to make you laugh, just ignore him.

He’s probably been day drinking again.

JOSIAH JAMES

Comedy 4 Cancer producer Josiah James got his start as an original member of Lehigh Valley improv troupe The Associated Mess before moving into stand-up in 2008.

Nearly two decades later, he’s still performing locally — and producing Comedy 4 Cancer in honor of his mom and everyone whose life has been affected by cancer.

HEADLINER: LEARNMORE JONASI 🔥

Learnmore Jonasi is a Zimbabwean stand-up comedian and actor who has quickly become one of the most exciting voices in comedy.

Known for his high-energy physical comedy, storytelling and hilarious observations about life in Africa and America, Learnmore brings a perspective — and an energy — unlike anyone else onstage.

He received Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent and went on to finish as a Top 5 finalist in the 2024 season.

Learnmore is also the winner of the 2023 Boston Comedy Festival, the 2023 Jersey City Comedy Festival Audience Choice Award, the Savanna Comics’ Choice Pan African Comic of the Year, and Zimbabwe’s National Arts Merit Award for Outstanding Comedian of the Year.

He has performed in more than 20 countries at theaters, festivals, comedy clubs and on television alongside some of the biggest names in comedy.

And on December 5, he’s coming to Allentown to headline Comedy 4 Cancer.
