The Guess WhoThe Guess Who, a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, found their greatest success in the late 60s and early 70s, under the leadership of singer/keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman. The band released eleven studio albums, all of which reached the charts in Canada and the United States. Their 1970 album, American Woman, reached number one in Canada, and the title track became the first Billboard number one hit by a Canadian group. The Guess Who went on to release five more albums that reached the top ten in Canada and charted fourteen Top 40 singles in the United States and more than thirty in Canada.
Members of The Guess Who reunited for a short tour in 1983, and again from 2000 to 2003, with their last show taking place on July 30, 2003. Their final performance was before an estimated audience of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert.
In 2024, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman successfully reclaimed the name and trademark for The Guess Who.
