december (FR) (Drowned by Locals, Tresor) // Kafe Hærverk

For the first time in Oslo, December (French musician Tomas Lefebvre) brings his distinctive take on electronic music to Kafé Hærverk. Known for raw, shadowy and unpredictable sounds, December embraces movement in all its forms, including the wrong turns, interruptions and accidents along the way.

Tomas has released music on Drowned by Locals, Tresor, Jealous God, Blackest Ever Black or L.I.E.S. and has played at venues and festivals including Berghain, Berlin Atonal and Tresor. His sound has also travelled through platforms such as Kiosk Radio, Sauna Radio, Mutant Radio and HÖR.

As December defines his music:

“Music shouldn't be a stiff, rigid container of certitudes, designed to auto-validate a series of trademarked gimmicks and techniques. It needs to be a playground for meandering through unmarked territories, for assembling hybrid 'mélanges’.”

For this night at Kafé Hærverk, expect a hybrid and powerful selection of sounds and rhythms that break apart and come together again - unexpected combinations that might not seem to belong together, until they do.
