OBYGDEN CIRKUSFESTIVAL 2026

Tyrolen and Fonomonik invite you to the 3rd edition of the Obygden Circus Festival.

“Obygden” is a contemporary circus festival for anyone who wants to experience the unexpected, the delightfully strange, the wild and the indescribable. Once again, we invite you to the 1960s paradise of Tyrolen – surrounded by colorful lights and hand-painted celebrity caricatures – for two days of circus, live music, performance and DJs.

The program features spectacular shows and solo acts by professional circus artists from all over the world.

Expect a mix of high-flying acrobats, spinning Cyr wheels, daring balance acts, impressive juggling, explosively danceable live music, weird, quirky, mysterious – and so much more…

Adult: 900 SEK

Children 3–18 years: 450 SEK

One-day ticket

Adult: 550 SEK

Children 3–18 years: 250 SEK

Children under 3 years enter free when accompanied by an adult.

Note! A limited number of tickets are available, so buy yours early to secure a spot at the festival.

CAMPING:

Camping is located right next to the festival area and is included in the ticket price. Camper vans and caravans are also welcome. The camping area is spacious, with quieter sections available for those who prefer a calmer stay.

TRANSPORT:

Tyrolen is located approximately 7 km south of Alvesta, in the heart of Småland. Alvesta is easily reached by train and is a major railway hub.

Taxi transport to and from Tyrolen is available at a discounted rate with Sverige Taxi & Taxi Kurir.

FOOD & DRINKS:

The festival area features several food vendors, a kiosk, café and bars offering a wide range of tasty food and drinks. In the bars you can enjoy, among other things, locally produced beer and soft drinks, organic wines and several alcohol-free options. Tyrolen works closely with local producers and always offers vegetarian and vegan alternatives, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Note! Food cannot be purchased outside the festival’s opening hours. The nearest grocery store is located in Alvesta.

Alcohol is not permitted inside the festival area, only within the camping area.

The festival is supported by the Swedish Arts Council (Kulturrådet) and produced in collaboration with Musik i Syd and Smålandstriennalen.
