Dave Hole (born Robert David Hole on 30 March 1948) is an acclaimed Australian blues rock slide guitarist, singer, and songwriter widely regarded as one of the all time masters of the slide guitar

Career Highlights…

* The Breakthrough: Hole spent over two decades playing the remote Australian club circuit. In 1990, he self-funded his debut album, Short Fuse Blues. On a whim, he mailed a copy to the US publication Guitar Player Magazine, prompting a rave review that launched his international career overnight.

* Alligator Records: The buzz caught the attention of | Chicago's legendary Alligator Records, making Hole the very first non-US artist ever signed to the prestigious blues label.

* Accolades: His 1999 album, Under the Spell, won the ARIA Music Award for "Best Blues & Roots Album". His fiery musicianship has earned public praise from rock and blues legends like Metallica's Kirk Hammett and Gary Moore.

* Global Touring: He has released 10 studio albums and spent decades headlining major festivals across North America, Europe, and Brazil.

Renowned for his fiery guitar work, soulful voice, and genre-blending sound, Geoff Achison is a celebrated blues-roots artist from Australia whose music continues to resonate with fans around the world. With a career spanning over three decades, Geoff has earned a global reputation for his electrifying performances, inventive guitar style, and heartfelt songwriting.

Drawing on a rich tapestry of influences—blues, funk, soul, acoustic folk, and roots-rock—Geoff first made his mark as lead guitarist for legendary Australian bluesman Dutch Tilders before stepping out to form his own band, The Souldiggers. His debut album Big Machine dropped in the early ’90s, launching a long and successful journey across the USA, UK, and Europe.

His playing has drawn comparisons to greats like Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, and The Allman Brothers Band, and he’s racked up numerous accolades for his musicianship along the way, including the prestigious Albert King Award at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.

    Inducted into the Australian Victorian Blues Music Hall of Fame! Equal parts New Orleans Funk, driving Blues, jazzy Soul and outback Mojo, Singer/songwriter Geoff Achison creates original southern blues/roots music from deep south Australia. His 14th album comes out Feb. 21, 2025. He’s been chosen one of the “Top Ten Hottest New Guitarists” by Guitar Player Magazine followed with making the “Top 100+ Guitarists You Should Know” roster. Moreover, he's listed as one of the “Top 50 Australian Guitarists of All Time.” Jorma Kaukonen's (Hot Tuna) has invited him to be a Guitar Instructor for 18 years at his Fur Peace Guitar Ranch, and took him on tour as well. He's an exciting festival favorite featured on PBS, NPR, the BBC and CNN. Frequent tours of the US have seen him playing with folks like The Allman Brothers, George Porter, Jr., Wood Brothers, Col. Bruce Hampton, Randall Bramblett, Delbert McClinton, John Mayer, and many others.
