Lecture with architect Andrés Narfi Andrésson

As part of the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the consecration of Hallgrímskirkja, architect Andrés Narfi Andrésson will give a special anniversary lecture at Hallgrímskirkja on Thursday, 22 October at 5:00 PM.

In his lecture, Andrés Narfi will explore Hallgrímskirkja, its origins, architecture, and the ideas behind its design, as well as the history of the church and its place in Reykjavík’s urban landscape as one of the city’s most prominent landmarks.

The lecture is part of Hallgrímskirkja’s anniversary week, taking place from 18–25 October to mark the 40th anniversary of the church’s consecration.
