Hollar Fugur acts like a radio dial tuning into the distinct wavelength and presence of their own music — sounds folded and pried apart live, in real time. Bubbling, half-intelligible speech surfaces through a field of electronically crumpled sonority: a minimal kick, perhaps, a hi-hat, a brief whistle and bristle of something organic, before cutting to nothing but folky vocals of 'uhhhs' and 'ahhhhs'.

Harmonies sprout up wherever possible.

Their songs are fluid and move like water — ebbing and vanishing across an ever-shifting assemblage of vocals, beats, and chords. From the outset, the duo settles into a romantic drift, carrying all the fugal qualities a couple shares: inflating, deflating, and breathing in tandem.
