IR Bookclub: Falcons Forever by Cathie Eliasson

Have you heard about the Winnipeg Falcon Hockey Team?

It was a team of Icelandic men (except for 1) from Winnipeg, MB that played in the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp Belgium and came home with the Olympic Gold Medal in Ice Hockey – the first for Canada.

This book is authored by Cathie Eliasson who is the granddaughter of Falcons’ defenseman Konrad “Konnie” Johannesson.

Please join us when our co-host with Heather will be Gayle Graham and author Cathie will join us to delve deeper into your thoughts and questions about the book and her perspective on this remarkable story.
