Jazz í Djúpinu // Sírós

Trumpet player, singer, and composer Sigurrós Jóhannesdóttir (Sírós) plays at Djúpið on October 22nd to celebrate the release of her first album, Reika. The music is varied, fundamentally jazz, with fusion and rock influences. Each song on the album portrays a specific journey. Some journeys are through emotional turmoil, while others are more literal, like making your way through the morning traffic. The album will be performed in its entirety by a carefully assembled group of outstanding musicians:

The Jazz í Djúpinu concert series takes place on Thursday nights at 8:30 PM during the fall of 2026. Djúpið is the basement of the restaurant Hornið (Hafnarstræti 15, 101 Reykjavík). The entrance to Djúpið is at the back, facing Bæjarins beztu. The entrance to the basement opens at 8:00 PM. Ticket price is 4.000 ISK, tickets are sold at the entrance and in advance. The concert series is organised by the Jazz Department of FÍH. Please note that there is no wheelchair access at the venue.
