The Christmas Book Flood at Gerðuberg City Library

Let's Look Inside the Christmas Package!
Join us to meet authors and chat about the latest books!
The Christmas books are pouring into the library, and to celebrate the season, we are inviting authors and a translator to visit us with their brand-new books in tow.
We are delighted to welcome Guðrún Eva Mínervudóttir, Björn Halldórsson, and Ingunn Snædal to Gerðuberg City Library, where they will join Sunna Dís Másdóttir, poet and former literary critic for Kiljan, for an engaging conversation about their latest works.
Ingunn Snædal will discuss her newly published translation of the hugely popular and widely acclaimed novel Yesteryear by American author Caro Claire Burke.
Guðrún Eva Mínervudóttir will present her latest novel, Ljósfaðir (Father of Light), a historical novel inspired by the story of Jónas Jónsson, who cared for children and practised healing, and who was also Guðrún Eva’s ancestor.
Björn Halldórsson recently published the novel Ókunnugt fólk (Unknown People), which has received an especially warm reception from both critics and readers.
