The Kids’ Café (Krakkakaffihúsið) returns!
This fall we’re taking a few steps north of the pond, to Hafnar.haus.
See you there on Saturday, October 31st, from 11 to 14!
We offer a small break from Halloween with our usual open play space, kid-led café and a movement workshop led by the dancer Sóley Ólafsdóttir at 13:00.
Sóley Ólafsdóttir is a contemporary dancer and choreographer. Her project Flugubúllan will be performed as part of the demo program at the Reykjavík Dance Festival in November.
In the workshop, we will give shape to the movement of the thoughts in our head, like a fly buzzing around, following counts and rhythm.
We’ll learn counting patterns, improvise like a fly and discover together our unruly inner buzzing.
What happens if we become the fly inside our minds?
The workshop is held in collaboration with Reykjavík Dance Festival.

Hafnar.haus is at Tryggvagata 17. Come in through entrance A, across the street from Gaukurinn. We will be in the large room on the second floor, accessible via stairs or the elevator.
Krakkakaffihúsið is an association that is open to all.
Membership details:
Fee: 1,500 ISK per family (suggested fee) plus one cake per year.
Membership gives you access to the café and the workshops.
