Norwegian-Icelandic guitarist and composer LILJA (Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir) has been making waves on the jazz scene with her innovative, multifaceted ensemble.

LILJA has toured the world and collaborated on projects with

musicians in India, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Morocco, Iceland and

New York, to mention a few, incorporating a diversity of sounds

into her singular jazz recordings.

As a composer she has been commissioned to write major works

for the Norwegian festivals, featuring her own band and the

Norwegian Radio Orchestra.

LILJA’s debut album Marble (2020), was met with rave reviews

from critics and audiences, and referred to as «the most uncynical album of the year», while the 2023 follow up Mirage,

featuring eclectic collaborations with traditionalists from four corners of the world, was nominated for the

Norwegian Grammy Award.

Muna, LILJA’s third and new record, is an existential album, that moves through the different stages of life, and also seeks inspiration in the Icelandic skaldic poem «Lilja».

Such daring, stylistic fusion has become a hallmark of LILJA's

sound and made her one of the brightest new stars on the Oslo

jazz scene.

With her to celebrate the release of Muna, she has an Norwegian all-star band, featuring Beady Belle on vocals, Jo Skaansar on bass, Erik Nylander on drums and herself on guitars.
