This edition of Dægurflugur is dedicated to the musician Gunnar Þórðarson, who passed away in July of this year. Gunnar composed many of the greatest popular song gems of our time, and his legacy includes more than five hundred songs that the nation has sung, cherished, and admired. He was an exceptionally versatile musician, performing as a singer and guitarist, and was also a highly respected record producer.
At the concert, Ragnheiður Gröndal will sing and play the piano. She will be joined by Guðmundur Pétursson on guitar and Leifur Gunnarsson on double bass, who is also the artistic director of the concert series.
