Hosted by Filmmaker Friday Chicago and Caymanite. Mountainfilm on Tour comes to Thalia Hall for the first Mountainfilm night in Chicago since 2019. Mountainfilm is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country, held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado, and this evening brings 80 minutes of its best adventure and environmental short films to Pilsen. After the film block, filmmakers from the program join us on stage for a live panel on how their films got made. Angelo Vasta opens the night at doors, Lauren Howard closes it out, and we'll give away over $2,000 in gear from Merrell, Dryrobe, Rumpl, Topo Designs and First Ascent. Doors 5:30 PM. Films 6:30 PM. All ages.
