Hardly any other line-up has shaken up the jazz scene over the past few years as consistently as Shalosh. Even on their debut album, “The Bell Garden” (2015), the trio developed an unmistakable signature sound that breaks with the genre’s traditional structures and blends them with elements of rock, electronic music, and contemporary classical. The group’s subsequent albums, such as “Onwards And Upwards” (2019) and “Tales Of Utopia” (2023), have cemented the image of these three virtuosos as masterful re-inventors of conventional jazz tropes without compromising the timeless qualities of the music. Over the years, Shalosh have proved their ability to evoke these qualities live at hundreds of concerts across the Mediterranean and Europe, where they have long since outgrown their status as an insider tip. With their new album, “What We Are Made Of” (2026), they are once again demonstrating exactly that this year: the passion, the joy of playing, and the ceaseless flow of ideas that have always defined this project. And now, they are making the long-overdue trip to come and play for us here in Hamburg.
