Orsugiak - The White Gold of Greenland

Denmark | Documentary | 55 minutes | Danish, English

Directors: Claus Pilehave & Otto Rosing

By narrating the story of cryolite and tracing the money flow, the film illustrates how Greenland has been far more economically valuable to Danish society—particularly to a small group of Danes—than is reflected in history books. In short, it challenges the myth of Greenland as an eternal expense!
