Mystery Knit-a-Long party with Textílbarinn

Join us for a fiesta of colors and knit-a-long excitement!

Are you participating in the famous MKAL by Stephen West this year?

Be most welcome to join us in a knit-a-long party to celebrate shawls, colors and second hand yarn. The Textilebar will present it‘s activities and bring their pop up shop with them for those that are still picking out colors.

The MKAL this year is knitted in 8 colors wich makes it the perfect scrap yarn project.

Feel free to bring your not knitting friend with you, get inspired and see other people's project.

Reykjavík City Library is taking part in a three-year international project called make-a-thek. The aim of the project is to create a space for creativity and a wide range of craft activities, where people can share knowledge and learn new ways to repair, remake, and upcycle clothing and other textiles. The project is funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme, and nine public libraries from across Europe are participating.
