The Boycott March 2026 will take place Saturday 12. September at 2 pm.
In the Reykjavík Capital Area it will start in Hafnarfjörður at 2 pm and end around 5 pm in Reykjavík, where there will be an event.
Participants can walk the full distance or join the march along the way. People are also welcome to not walk at all and simply join the event at the end. The full distance of the Reykjavik Capital Area Boycott March is 10 km.
Agenda
14:00 - Hafnarfjörður - people gather together and listen to a short speech.
14:20 - The march leaves from Hafnarfjörður, 10 km
16:00 - Hamraborg in Kópavogur. Short stop where more people can join the march and walk the last 4 km
17:00 - Klambratún in Reykjavik, outside Kjarvalsstaðir - Reykjavik Art Museum. End of march where there will be an event.
It's been a whole year since the Icelandic government announced very weak actions against Israel for their ongoing genocide in Gaza and the occupation of Palestine. But the situation in Gaza is horrendous and the situation in the West Bank deteriorates every day.
To show the government that they have to do much more, to come together in solidarity with Palestine and to increase awareness of boycott, we’ll march together in the Boycott March.
The Boycott March will take takes place at the same time in both Akureyri and the Reykjavík area.
People are very welcome to bring their keffiyeh, flags and signs.
This is the 3rd Boycott March taking place in Iceland with people marching together both in Reykjavik Capital Area and Akureyri in the name of BDS.
The event is a collaboration between BDS – Iceland, The Association Iceland – Palestine, the Vonarbrú charity and Dýrið - association on the right to protest.
