Calm and composed, with a keen instinct for finding the right melodies for the right moment, Daniel Michel has only just started out on his music career path, so to speak, but already has his sights fixed firmly on the future. The singer-songwriter is finding his footing between indie pop and bedroom poetry, and this year he’s bringing us songs with canny lyrics and crystal-clear production. The debut single “Mach es nicht wieder gut” (2026) celebrates self-acceptance and empathy, delivered in a delicate tone and underpinned by ethereal synths and gentle acoustic guitars. Everything seems to fall into place in this songwriting, which is at times melancholic yet offers empathetic comfort, both lyrically and harmonically. Sprinder always refers to himself as a ‘child of the sun’ – someone who strives to find the good, the beautiful and the true in life. With his first EP, “Zukunftsmusik” (2026), he has now demonstrated that he has taken one important first step on this journey. The next is his debut performance here on the Reeperbahn.
