THE HOOTERS return to Halden -- their only show in Norway! On July 13, 2027, THE HOOTERS return to Brygga Kultursal -- exactly 11 years after their previous visit. Back in 2016, Halden was also the band's only stop in Norway. Now, THE HOOTERS have chosen to return following the fantastic experience they had here last time -- once again making Brygga Kultursal their only Norwegian venue on the European tour. In the summer of 2027, THE HOOTERS celebrate their 47th year together with the "Every Ticket Tells A Story" tour. The tour includes a total of 22 shows across Europe, with Brygga Kultursal in Halden as one of the selected venues -- and the only one in Norway. THE HOOTERS burst onto Philadelphia's vibrant music scene in the early 1980s. Their unique blend of rock, ska and reggae created a fresh and distinctive sound that quickly conquered both clubs and radio stations. In 1985, Rolling Stone named them "Best New Band of the Year", and that same summer they were chosen to open the legendary Live Aid concert in Philadelphia. Founded by frontmen and songwriters Rob Hyman (vocals/keyboards) and Eric Bazilian (vocals/guitar), today's line-up also features founding member and drummer David Uosikkinen, John Lilley (guitar), Fran Smith Jr. (bass/vocals) and Tommy Williams (guitar/vocals). Their major international breakthrough came with the 1985 album "Nervous Night". The double-platinum album produced classics including "And We Danced", "All You Zombies" and "Day By Day". Since then, the band have continued to develop their unmistakable sound while touring extensively around the world. Alongside their work with THE HOOTERS, Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian have also made a significant impact as musicians and songwriters for other artists. Their songwriting credits include "Time After Time" for Cyndi Lauper and "One Of Us" for Joan Osborne -- both of which received Grammy nominations for Song of the Year. In May 2023, THE HOOTERS released "Rocking & Swing" on their own Hooters Music label -- an energetic album that brought the band back to their early ska and reggae roots. Previous releases on the label include "Time Stand Still" (2007) and the "5x5" EP (2010). In 2025, the band followed up with the new single "Pendulum" and "45 ALIVE", their first live album in almost a decade. Featuring fresh arrangements of their classics, the double live album captures the energy and sheer joy of performing that continue to define THE HOOTERS after all these years. Now comes the "Every Ticket Tells A Story" Summer Tour 2027. More than four decades into their career, THE HOOTERS' live shows remain a celebration of music -- for the band as much as for their loyal and enthusiastic fans. And when THE HOOTERS embark on 22 European shows in the summer of 2027, their journey will once again bring them to Halden.
