The winter solstice marks the shortest day of the year. In Reykjavík, the sun rises at around 11:21, with just over four hours of daylight.

We invite you to watch the sun rise over the city while listening to beautiful music performed on harp and violin by Katie Buckley and Sigrún Harðardóttir.

Guests can make themselves comfortable on chairs, mats or cushions – or even lie down on the floor, close their eyes and simply listen. The concert is designed as a peaceful moment in the midst of the dark winter season, giving families a chance to slow down, listen and enjoy the moment together.

A calming experience just before Christmas, as the days finally begin to grow longer again.
