Hamraborg Festival offers an exciting range of all-ages events and workshops! Just show up and join us! All events are free of charge.

Hamraborg Festival will run from August 28 to September 4, with all events happening in public spaces and culture houses such as the library, Molinn and Gerðarsafn Kópavogur Art Museum.

Exciting treasure hunt, sensory play and noise workshop are amongst projects that children, teenagers, young people, families and adult kids can participate in.

Noise Workshop - Spider Network

Do you want to be in a band? Make interesting electronic sounds or video art?

The Spider Network group invites you to a noise music workshop at Molinn on Saturday, August 29th from 1–5pm. The following day, the workshop’s outcome will be presented and performed in the parking area beneath Molinn from 2-4PM.

Soil Chromatography workshop - Earthlings Art Guild

Art and science merge into one, inviting participants to get to know Hamraborg through soil samples, revealing its personality.

Hamraborg Festival is an annual, vibrant, week-long celebration of art and community in the heart of Kópavogur. This year's festival is the 6th edition, and will run from August 28th to September 4th, marking the end of summer with a program of exhibitions, performances, workshops, concerts and public events – open to everyone, free of charge. The festival is built in close collaboration with the local community, with many works responding to the architecture, history, and everyday life of the Hamraborg area.
