Meet Kroi, the Japanese quintet that artfully blends a colorful assortment of music genres, including R&B, funk, soul, rock, and hip-hop. Their name, ‘Kroi,’ translates to ‘black’ in Japanese, reflecting their unique hybrid sound: if music genres were colors, their fusion would inevitably result in ‘black.’ As they simultaneously take over major music festivals locally (Summer Sonic ‘23, Fuji Rock ‘22) and internationally (SXSW 2024, City Flow Music Festival, Busan Rock Festival, Taipei The Wall), Kroi continues to push conventional boundaries, inviting listeners worldwide into their vibrant, ever-expanding universe of sound and creativity.
