MIMRA celebrates the release of her album Finding Place with a concert in Salurinn in Kópavogur on April 1st. In this grand concert MIMRA and band will perform the album in its entirety along with previously released music from the singer and songwriter. The event will be both a release and a recording concert that no one should miss. The album will celebrate a digital release on April 1st. A few songs from the album, Sister, Out of the dark and Easy to choose, have come out in the last months. Stefán Örn Gunnlaugsson, Magnús Trygvason Elíassen, Sólrún Mjöll Kjartansdóttir, Helga Ragnarsdóttir, Sam Pegg, Sylvía Hlynsdóttir and Elvar Bragi Kristjónsson form the MIMRA band. MIMRA, the solo project of María Magnúsdóttir, first captivated audiences with her eclectic and vocally enchanting music in 2017 with the release of debut album Sinking Island. Ever since she has created rich sonic layered music with delicate but complex blend of alternative folk-pop with a pinch of electronics, jazz and soul.
