MONGEEYA is the sonic love child of First Nations man Zac James, a staunch Wonguktha, Yamatji and Murri man,
After a stellar few years playing in several festivals throughout the Boorloo area, MONGEEYA have found themselves gaining recognition and deadly as lubbly fans around the world and Australia, being highlighted as Spotify’s First Nations act for the ‘Original Storytellers’ and ‘Big Ancestor Energy’ through their editorial playlists as well as various Amazon and Apple Music playlists, reaching thousands of punters.
Writing about love, life, death, mental health and breaking down colonisation, Zac diverts his creative energy from the Film and media world into MONGEEYA, his own traditional namesake to bring to you mob ❤️💛🖤
