Around the crackle of a campfire, an old paratrooper recounts stories of war: just before leaping into the empty sky below, he turns to his fellow soldier and says, with a salute and a smile, "Hope you have a Happy Landing!"
Deep in the Ozarks, a few miles down a long gravel road, you will find an old wooden clubhouse with a creaking screen door. Above hanging hats, American flags, and picture frames of family and friends is a wood-burned sign that reads HAPPY LANDING.
