Tucked away in the heart of the Mount Pleasant residential neighbourhood in East Vancouver (and underneath a Howard Johnson hotel), the Biltmore Cabaret is one of the city's most well known independent music venues, playing a dual role as a music venue and occasional nightclub. The decor of the 350 capacity venue is a mixture of cabaret and gothic, with a large raised stage at the front of the dance floor and a set of vintage video game machines in the back.
